Lukashenko pretends he does not care whether the World Ice Hockey Championship in Belarus is canceled or not. But he is expecting Rene Fasel’s arrival with hope. The IIHF President warmly embraces the dictator, poses for a photo with Dmitry Baskov, the President of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Association, who was allegedly involved in the killing of Raman Bandarenka, and then gets sincerely surprised that the photos are posted on the internet. The IIHF came under unprecedented public pressure. Multinational brands Nivea, Skoda, Tissot, LIQUI MOLLY refuse to sponsor the championship if it is held in Belarus, where human rights are not respected. The thousands of Belarusians are thanking these companies for their solidarity, along with them is a musician Verasen, who made a musical instrument out of a Nivea cream jar.

The whole world is shocked by the leaked audio recording of the speech of the former head of the GUBOPiK [the Main Directorate for Combating Organised Crime and Corruption] Mikalai Karpiankou in front of his personnel. Karpiankou talks about the possibility of using weapons against demonstrators, admits that Aliaksandr Taraikouski was killed by law enforcement officers, tells his subordinates that Lukashenko guarantees them complete impunity in the fight against protesters, as well as about the creation of camps for those who disagree with the government. The country is moving completely towards fascism.
