Minsk State Linguistic University faculty condemn violence

Faculty members of Minsk State Linguistic University (MSLU) joined the video appeal recorded by their colleagues in response to the detention of students. The faculty condemn the inhuman actions of the riot police and express support for their students. On 1 and 2 September, during peaceful protests, a few students were detained. On 4 September, the riot police broke into the university building and used force to detain five more after students sang “Do You Hear the People Sing?”, a French rebels’ song from the musical “Les Miserables”.
