The 2,700 participants of the All Belarusian People’s Assembly, carefully selected by the authorities and ideologically aligned, gathered in Minsk. For two days, the delegates witnessed the “theater of one actor”. Then, in their speeches, they expressed their full support for the protagonist of the event and concurrently the former president of Belarus. The results of the meeting: traditionally empty declarations, total threats directed towards opponents and the West, and currying favor with the Kremlin. In summary, Lukashenko is not going anywhere in the near future and will not stop on the path of terror, intensifying repression and scorching everything with a “hot iron”.

Proof of this was demonstrated in the next detentions: 19 skiers who gathered for a joint walk, as well as more than 60 participants in a rock concert – all of them were charged with taking part in unauthorized events.

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya reacted to Lukashenko’s speeches: she stressed that she did not believe a single word he said at the All Belarusian People’s Assembly and spoke about her strategy for victory.
