Tsikhanouskaya believes Lukashenko will leave in spring

Alexander Lukashenko will be forced to resign from his position in the coming months. This opinion was expressed by the leader of the Belarusian opposition Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya in an interview with the German weekly newspaper Bild am Sonntag. According to Tsikhanouskaya, the growing pressure on Lukashenko’s regime from the EU and USA will inevitably lead to his resignation.

The “decisive battle” with the regime in Belarus will take place this spring, believes Pavel Latushka, a member of the Coordination Council Presidium and head of the National Anti-Crisis Management. He calls on the West to seek complete economic isolation of Belarus. “The sanctions should be purposeful and tangible for the regime,” Latushka emphasized.

“Our conscience does not allow us to stay away from what is happening in the country.
